A few community members now have commented on the fact that it would be better to have an Atacama Desert server seperate from any other maps , as players that go to Atacama usually like only Atacama and it attracts more players . When the map switches to Heavy Metal / then Arica Harbour ( or whatever it is called ) players always end up leaving and the server empties out really fast from there .

GraveDiggaz tried that scenario with their Heavy Metal server , switching to Atacama , the server emptied out almost every time .

Either you like Heavy or Atacama , not both it seems .

Don't know how much a 2nd server would cost , but maybe have one with a snow map , the name escapes me as I don't see it often , and maybe put in Harvest Day or something similar , whatever seems to appeal to players .

You could even put up a message on 2nd server and website and ask players' opinion , not just community members , as you want to attract everybody , not just members .

I believe it's a good idea to try an atacama only server and see how populated the server stays before trying to add another server. I do like the idea of having a thread open to all people who play on our servers to come in a give their opinion or thoughts about how are servers are doing. I do agree this would be a good way to figure out what attracts the most people to each server that would keep it populated and wanting people to come back and play. The only problem i see with this is you can't please everyone.

Well if it a 24/7 Atacama with fast respawn i am happy :D

Atacama Desert only map would be fine since most leave after it changes

I don't think it costs any more money to add a second bc2 server.I think a 24/7 atacama server is a must. :)

I also Agree, it seems to be the most Dust, crusty, non visiability Map .. but everyone loves it ... lol... :geek:

Yeah, Jag was telling me another BC2 server wouldn't cost us anything and we have plenty of resources on the server we have. I think we should start an Atacama desert only server and another one that mixed. We can always re-asses things if we start adding more games and the server starts getting close to capping out.

Right now, I think the server is only at about 30% capacity. I think the max we wanted to go was 80% or something like that.

That server is currently hosting BC2, BF3 and I think the website.

If its not gonna cost us anything, and we have a want/need, I think its a no brainer. Lets do it, as I personally LOVE to piss in the sandbox (also known as Atacoma Desert).

Discussion at Sunday's meeting. Suggest Atacema (spelling?) 24/7 and membership decides what should be on the other one. :?:
