It all comes down to latency I suppose. Nvidia is not the first company to try this. I hope they do it better than the ones before though.

Yeah, pretty much.
I just got accepted to the beta yesterday. I was able to run PUBG on ultra settings using this even though my own computer can only really handle the lowest settings, maybe a bit higher.
I was really amazed at how smoothly everything ran and how responsive it really was. I could tell there was some compression on the video which got bad every once in a while, but only briefly. There was a very slight delay, but amazingly it was almost imperceptible. Unfortunately, that slight delay which was a small fraction of a second, made a little tougher in a fight and actually started making me feel nauseous so I couldn't play more than a round or two. I do tend to get car sick if I'm reading or something as a passenger during a long car ride so it might not be a problem for everyone.
What I found interesting was that when I first launched the game, it ran a full screen program that just had a black background and a Steam window. I logged in to Steam and had to tell it to install PUBG. This makes sure you actually own the game you want to play. You don't get full access to all of the games. Also, the files must have already been there because it was pretty much instant. Then the game started up and loaded extremely quickly.
TL;DR
I'm amazed at what they've been able to accomplish but the extremely small delay started making me feel nauseous. That might not affect everyone though. I don't think the tech is there yet, but it's really promising!
