Winter is coming, again....

So last fall I was all excited to come back. Played a few rounds with Tommy, Cola, Crash, Waggs, Bull, JJ, Robinson, LTM and Frosty. An then I got JJ'ed for those of us who remember how scarce JJ was back when he switched jobs a couple years ago.

Times have been rough at the office with all of the downsizing going on in the Marine Corps and they had a special project that only three of the most highly trained government program managers could handle. Unfortunately those three people were me, myself and I. It was a volunteer job to get the program through for a year while they found someone else once they could start hiring again (sounds like I am in the ANZAC Corps and they want me to take a little beach in Turkey, eh). It was so bad that they bent the rules and put me in an intern position.

I had to put in 70-80 hour weeks since last December which almost included Christmas...but I managed to get things fixed up enough that I they have moved me into the job permanently. That is a good thing I reckon, but although we have been counseled to keep things non-political in here, I have to be politically incorrect and speak my mind. I never liked the Air Force before but I freaking hate them now. What a bunch of cry-babies. Okay, I feel better now (no offense JJ). Actually, I don't hate the Air Force itself, just a special prima donna branch. They were the reason for my long hours and are still pretty needy but manageable. So I may not be too happy about being permanent when December hits.

So...now that it is getting cold...and I may actually get weekends and a weekday evening every once in a while to game again...I am hoping to be back. It looks like there were maybe 30 posts since last winter so I also have a scheme to try and liven up the forums a little. Some tales of yesteryear when people would be shot for leaving their flashlight on in group pictures and you could play a radio with CCR in your jeep on a map. Maybe they will have Morse code connections in BF1?

Give me a few weeks until the sun starts coming up sooner but runs away to hide earlier as well. I do intend to come out to play....

As for my good buddy Crash, I am bound and determined to pass you in posts. Unfortunately I also provide the cannon fodder for you to reply to, so I am doomed from the start. Gibbs slap deserved

Maybe we can get some people to break into spontaneous forum reading and posting?
