You are running a 1366 socket. Honestly I do not see any reason why you would need to upgrade.

The GTX 580 is a very good video card. Since you have the rampage 3 board, you could SLI with a second 580. But honestly, 1 high end card (which you have) will do fine.

The only thing I could suggest is the http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002A6G3V2 i7 950, but you could overclock your current one to match that speed.

All your components more then meet minimum requirements for the games that you play. 2 more gigs of ram if you are going to do anything.

If you overclock any component (Video card or processor) is always wise to install some kind of cooling system. By definition, overclocking will make your hardware work at a rate higher than the one it was meant to, and therefore will generate a higher amount of heat which will be detrimental if not controled. The fans that come with the hardware are not designed for overclocking so they will need extra help.

Thanks Tommy, I do have additional fans but overclocking might not be worth it..may upgrade to 690 ($$$$) yikes, are very expensive.. :o

like i said yesterday kim, i'd buy another 580 that you already have and run SLI or even 3 580's, atleast you dont need to change things like your motherboard to support the 690 PCI-E 3x

changing your motherboard you then need new DDR3 Ram 1600+

the 580 is only 20% slower than a 670 GTX

If your thinking of spending big bucks on new hardware, id wait for the 8000 series to come out from ATI and Nvidias new generation after Titan..

Also before you spend $1000+ on a new graphics card.. DirectX 12 comes out 2014 i think, so theres only 9 months to go before new games require a newer graphics card again!
Intel i7 4790K @ 4.8Ghz, Asus Maximus VII Formula, 32GB DDR3 2133Mhz, SLI 980 GTXs, SSD drives, Win 8.1 Pro 64Bit, Asus 27" ROG 3D 144hz monitor, Razer Nostromo, Ballistic MK1 Mouse, NZXT H440 Midi-Tower, 1GB Fibre Internet
